Pittsburgh Greenfiled Donut Sale Supports Officers Injured in Tree of Life Synagogue Tragedy
Schools across the District have poured out their love and support for the victims, their families and the entire Jewish community following the tragedy that occurred at the Tree of Life Synagogue on October 27, 2018. Pittsburgh Greenfield K-8 has a special relationship with the City Police Zone 4 officers who were the first responders at the Tree of Life Synagogue. To show the officers its love and appreciation, the school held a special donut sale to support those officers injured.
Police officers from Zone 4 work closely with the Pittsburgh Greenfield school community often. At the beginning of the school year, Zone 4 officers welcomed students and parents back for the new year, and most recently it was Zone 4 officers who came by the school to help find the person responsible for vandalizing the school's property.
