PPS Families- The Auone Family

The Aoune Family

Grateful for new opportunities.

The Aoune family left their homeland of Algeria for the sake of their children’s education. They said goodbye to their elderly parents, resigned from rewarding jobs and moved their twin daughters to a place where they did not even speak the language. They are so grateful that they did! In Algeria, there was no educational opportunities for children like their daughter Hiba, who is severely handicapped. At PPS Pioneer, they found a caring community where Hiba is now learning and growing. And at Pittsburgh Sunnyside, they found a place where their daughter Amani can make friends, enjoy classes and thrive. The girls’ mother, Aicha, says she can never say thank you enough to PPS.
