Local high school basketball player scores 1,000th point in honor of Kobe Bryant

A local high school basketball player is now in the record books after scoring his 1,000th point on Wednesday night.

Brashear High School senior shooting guard Cheron Collington said he did it in honor of Kobe Bryant.

 

Collington transferred to the high school from California, where he started playing the game at 5 years old. His favorite player then -- and now -- is Bryant.
