Winner Winner: PPS-CTE Students Bring Home 13 SkillsUSA Medals
Students from Career and Technical Education programs across the district participated in the SkillsUSA competition on December 15, 2021. SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit organization serving teachers and students of both high school and college who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations. Through healthy competition, SkillsUSA builds an inner character that fosters a strong belief in education, fair-play, principles of good work, and high moral and ethical standards.
This year, SkillsUSA competitions were held at Connellsville Area CTC and Fayette County Carrer and Technical Institute. It was a wonderful experience for all 27 students that participated. Any student earning a first-place medal will compete at the state level in the spring 2022. Congratulations to all competitors and CTE Teachers!
