    Project Positive: Matt and Damon

For November 2017's Project Positive, Pittsburgh Public Schools and WAMO 100 would like to recognize Pittsburgh Montessori fifth graders Matthew Dorsett and Damon Poindexter. Both are members of the school’s basketball team and the Garfield Gators. These great student athletes also serve as great student leaders, mediating conflicts with younger students and setting a positive example for all. Matt and Damon are both a part of the District's inaugural Student Envoy program for elementary students. You can Expect Great Things from both young men!

In October 2017, WAMO 100 and Pittsburgh Public Schools would like to recognize Katrina Luffey as this month's Project Positive. Last month, Walmart named the Pittsburgh Brookline eighth grader as an Everyday Hero for her community involvement and volunteer efforts! Every winter, Katrina and her mother and Pittsburgh Police Officer Christina Luffey collect donations for their “Get Stuffed with Love” program. They provide homeless people with a Thanksgiving meal, coats, and blankets. Walmart gave Katrina a gift card to purchase her supplies for this year’s donations.
