News Release Forty Facilities to Transition to Remote Learning for Remainder of the Week
PITTSBURGH, May 31, 2023 – Forty District schools will transition to remote teaching and learning for the remainder of the week. Teachers will facilitate live remote instruction on Microsoft Teams. Grab and Go meal service will be available at 14 locations across the District. The move comes on the heels of the Superintendent’s announcement of a new extreme heat protocol designed to keep students and staff safe. PITTSBURGH, May 29, 2023 – Pittsburgh Obama 6-12 and the Pittsburgh Peabody /Obama Early Childhood Center will transition to synchronous remote learning this week when class resumes on Tuesday, May 30. Teachers will facilitate live remote instruction on Microsoft Teams due to ventilation challenges caused by a broken coil in the building’s air conditioning.
