• Personal Project

    Throughout the Personal Project process, you will be meeting with your supervisor during your Advisory Periods.  YOU ARE REQUIRED TO MEET WITH YOUR SUPERVISOR AT LEAST 4 TIMES OVER THE COURSE OF THE PROJECT.  We will send out reminders and passes to keep you on track, but the ultimate responsibility to keep these appointments lies with you.

    Personal Project Criteria

    November 1 – Submit Project Proposal to Mr. Chapman, signed by a parent or guardian

    Process Journal Verification

    • List of possible sources
    • Plan of Action for completing the project
    • Signature card that supervisor has seen a Process Journal
    • Baseline measurements (for students improving a skill)

    December 6 – Submit to Mr. Chapman

    • Global Context you will use to guide your project.
    • One example of how you have grown as an IB Learner

     January 10 – Submit to Mr. Chapman

    Demonstrate Thinking and Communication Skills

    • Two examples of times you used Thinking Skills during the Project
    • Two examples of times you have used Communication Skills during the project
    • One example of how you have grown as an IB learner

    February 6 – Submit to Mr. Chapman

    • An evaluation of how your Project has progressed, compared to your initial action plan
    • One new example of a time you have used Thinking Skills
    • One new example of a time you have used Communication Skills
    • One new example of how you have grown as an IB Learner
    • Two examples of how your knowledge or skills have developed through this project

    March 26 – Final Report Submitted to Mr. Chapman
