Community Eligibility Provision

In the 2014/2015 school year, Pittsburgh Public Schools began participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) which allows all students in the district to eat for free regardless of their financial standing. CEP provides an alternative approach for offering free meals to school districts that meet specific financial requirements instead of collecting individual applications for free/reduced meals. Benefits of CEP in Pittsburgh Public Schools include:

All students receive a free breakfast and lunch, regardless of their financial standing
Increases in breakfast and lunch participation
Simplifies meal counting and claiming, reducing long serving lines
Eliminates student debt from reduced and paid meals

My Lunch Money

Attention My Lunch Money Customers:

The PPS Food Service Department will be enrolling in a new system at the start of next school year. My Lunch Money will no longer be available starting June 12, 2017. If you have a current balance, please draw the balance down to zero. At this time, no additional funds can be added to the system.

To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online at: http://www.ascr.usda.gov/complaint_filing_cust.html, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
