SparkPittsburgh - PeopleOne Health
SparkPittsburgh
Launching from the platform that reached over 25 million users and helped countless people get healthier, SparkPittsburgh is part of the SparkAmerica movement. Led by an alliance of local and national partners, we are “sparking” America’s Fitness & Health, Leadership Development, and Community Engagement by helping one person, one organization, and one city at a time. SparkPittsburgh brings people, organizations, and cities together on a single tech platform to participate in our free and fun annual calendar of challenges that encourage individual achievement while driving participation in friendly competition.
SparkAmerica - One Person, Once Community, One City at a Time
SparkAmerica is focused on building Fit & Healthy leaders all across the country. We do that by implementing programs in SparkCities - urban and suburban localities whose business and civic leaders have joined with us to create community and promote healthy living. We are proud of the work being done and the partnerships we've formed in each of these cities, and of the friendly competition we see each year as they strive to be the healthiest SparkCity in America!
2021 Fit City Challenges
The SparkPittsburgh 2021 Fit City Challenges are interactive challenges designed to help move companies toward better health. The challenges utilize the Spark360 technology platform to help participants get and stay healthy by tracking daily fitness activity minutes in a fun and free Fitness Game.
Participants join their colleagues to help their employer reach the top of the company leaderboard while competing against other organizations and individuals. You and your employer can win prizes and prove you work for one of the healthiest and most active companies in Pennsylvania! Individual participant minutes also roll up into Pittsburgh’s totals, which helps everyone take pride in a healthier Pittsburgh.
The challenges each run for 6 weeks (see dates below) and will rank companies into three size categories - small (2-99 employees), medium (100-499 employees), and large (500+ employees). Each participant’s minutes will count toward the company total. Leaderboards will display company rankings after the challenge goes live. Specific information is provided in this toolkit on how to register for the challenge, sync your wearable devices, or track your minutes.
