2026 Pittsburgh Public Schools Shoe Drive

Our Community Schools are more than places of learning — they are hubs of support, care, and connection for students and families across Pittsburgh. This citywide shoe drive brings our community together to Empower Minds, Build School Community while Sustaining Transformational Impact.
Every donation helps remove barriers, respond to real needs, and strengthen supports for students and families.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Proceeds support Pittsburgh Public Schools Community Schools Initiatives, helping address:
- Food insecurity and basic needs
- Student attendance incentives and engagement
- Parent and family engagement
- Professional learning and support for school communities
The more bags we collect, the more funds we can earn — every bag filled with 25 assorted shoes helps fuel impact across our Community Schools.
WHAT TO DONATE
New or gently used shoes of any type and any size, including:
- Sneakers and casual shoes
- Dress shoes, sandals, and boots
- Sports and athletic shoes (cleats, trainers, etc.)
- Children’s, youth, and adult sizes
Shoes should be paired, clean, reusable, with laces tied together when applicable
WHEN
February 16 – April 16, 2026
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
- Donate shoes
- Spread the word to family, friends, teams, and community partners
- Encourage your school, organization, or group to participate
- Help us reach 100 bags per site and 900+ bags districtwide
