A Creative and Performing Arts Magnet School
-
Pittsburgh CAPA 6–12 is a Creative and Performing Arts Magnet School located in the heart of Pittsburgh’s Downtown Cultural District. The mission of Pittsburgh CAPA 6–12 is to provide every student in grades 6–12 with a comprehensive academic program rooted in a superior quality arts education experience that encourages excellence and success in their personal development as artists and cultural leaders.
The magnet application for students to enroll in to schools and programs for the 2022-23 school year is now open. Apply through the Home Access Center (HAC). Click here for more information on accessing the application. The deadline for applications to audition in January was December 17 at 5 pm. Applications are still being accepted for late auditions, to be processed after applications received by the 17th.
Out of an abundance of caution and to provide auditioners with additional time to be prepared for their audition, CAPA will be adjusting the audition dates to Saturday February 5th and 12th, 2022. There are some small adjustments to the audition schedule originally shared on student audition tickets. These adjustments are for visual arts and vocal music, and are listed below in purple text. Any family that has a conflict with the dates/times listed below, should contact the school, and ask to speak to the Department Chair. This information is being shared to applicants via email and robo-call on January 20, 2022. Thank you.
