    Pittsburgh Banksville Facility Closed Until Friday

    Instruction and learning at Pittsburgh Banksville will take place remotely for the next two days for
    COVID-19 mitigation after the school reaches its five percent threshold. No one may enter the
    building until Friday, May 27, and all special events and activities are canceled.
    Students and staff will transition to synchronous (live streaming) educational instruction during the
    building closure. Instead of reporting to the school building, instruction will move to Microsoft Teams,
    and students will access work in Schoology. The day will follow the regular bell schedule. 


  • May 18, 2022

     

    Two Additional Schools to Transition to Synchronous Remote Instruction

     

    Pittsburgh Lincoln and Pittsburgh Phillips Closed for Remainder of Week PITTSBURGH, May 18, 2022 – Students and staff at both Pittsburgh Phillips PreK-5 and Pittsburgh Lincoln PreK-5 will transition to synchronous learning and instruction for the remainder of the week. The Pittsburgh Phillips facility is closed for COVID-19 mitigation after the school reached it five percent threshold for positive cases. No one will be permitted inside the school until Monday, May 23. A shortage of staff due to COVID-19 related absences requires the transition to remote instruction for students and staff at Pittsburgh Lincoln.

    Instruction will move to Microsoft Teams, following the bell schedules at both schools. Students will access work in Schoology. Grab and Go meal service will be available at both schools from 9 AM – Noon. Take a Father to School Day activities will also occur virtually at each school.


  • May 18, 2022

     

    Pittsburgh Miller Transitions to Synchronous Teaching and Learning for Remainder of Week PITTSBURGH, May 18, 2022 – Pittsburgh Miller PreK-5 will transition to synchronous remote instruction for the remainder of the week due to a staffing shortage caused by positive cases of COVID-19, exposure-related quarantines, and other staff absences. Instruction will move to Microsoft Teams, and students will access work in Schoology. The day will follow the regular bell schedule, and Grab and Go meal service will be available to students at the school from 9 AM – Noon Thursday and Friday. As a result of the transition to synchronous (live streaming) educational instruction, the school’s Take a Father to School Day activities planned for this Friday will now take place virtually.


  • May 17, 2022

     

    Tuesday, May 17, 2022 is a full synchronous learning day for all students.

     The Pittsburgh Whittier facility is now closed to staff and students until Thursday, May 19 for COVID-19 Mitigation.  The Building will remain open to support Allegheny County Elections staff and voters for the May 17th primary. 

     


  • May 12, 2022

     

    The Central Administration Building is closed today May 12 and tomorrow May 13, 2022, for COVID-19 mitigation after reaching its five percent threshold today.  No one will be permitted inside of the facility until Monday, May 16.  Upon return, masks will be required for teachers, staff, students, and all visitors until Monday May 23, 2022, unless the Allegheny County’s community level reaches medium.


  • May 11, 2022

     

    The following facilities are closed for disinfecting as party of the District’s COVID-19 mitigation strategies. Students and staff will transition to synchronous (live streaming) educational instruction during the building closure. Instead of reporting to the school building, instruction will move to Microsoft Teams, and students will access work in Schoology. The day will follow the regular bell schedule.Pittsburgh CAPA May 10 – May 12, 2022: No one may enter the building until Friday, May 13, and all special events and activities are canceled. Upon return, the use of well-fitting masks will be required for all staff, students, and visitors at the school until Friday, May 20, 2022.

    Pittsburgh Colfax May 11 – May 12, 2022: No one may enter the building until Friday, May 13, and all special events and activities are canceled.  Upon return, the use of well-fitting masks will be required for all staff, students, and visitors at the school until Monday, May 23, 2022. 

     


  • May 9, 2022

     

    The Pittsburgh CAPA facility is closed May 10 -12, 2022, to support disinfecting and deep cleaning of the building after the school reached its 5 percent threshold for positive cases of COVID-19. No one is permitted in the facility until Friday, May 13, and all special events and activities have been canceled.  Upon return, masks will be required for teachers, staff, students, and all visitors until Friday, May 20, 2022, unless Allegheny County’s community level reaches medium.

This means that instead of reporting to the school building, instruction will move to Microsoft Teams, and students will access work in Schoology. The day will follow the regular bell schedule. Students who are in quarantine at home may now log in to all their classes on Microsoft Teams.
