Please have the following documents ready to upload during your online application.  Incomplete applications will not be processed:

  • A copy of your child’s birth certificate, passport or I9;
  • A copy of your child’s immunization records (documents must show the child's full name and birthdate);
  • A copy of your child’s last physical and dental exams (documents must show the child's full name and birthdate);
  • Verification of family income. Acceptable forms include:  one consistent month's worth of pay stubs, a W-2 Wage and Tax Statement, DHS printout/benefits statement, or income tax return that is dated within the last calendar year; and,
  • Two current proofs of residency. Acceptable proof includes: utility bill, driver’s license, rent/mortgage agreement.  Documents must show your full name, address and date.

Additional Enrollment Information

  • If you are applying after the Early Childhood lottery period (February through March) and/or your child turns 3 years old after September 30, you can still apply as we continue to accept applications on a rolling basis as space is available. If no space is available, your child will be placed on the waitlist.
  • If your child turns 5 years old on or before September 30, you will need to apply for Kindergarten: General Enrollment for K - 12
  • If you have additional questions about the Preschool Program for children ages 3 and 4, please call the Early Childhood Main Office at (412) 529-4291 (select Option 2) or review our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) page.
  • To enroll your child in the Early Head Start (EHS) Program for children under 3 years of age, please call (412) 529-4291 (select Option 1).
  • If you've applied for space in one of our preschool classrooms and received a wait list notification, please click the link to see additional options for enrolling your child at a childcare partner agency site. List of Childcare Partner Agencies
**ONCE YOUR CHILD IS ENROLLED IN THE PROGRAM, YOU DO NOT NEED TO RE-APPLY YEARLY.
