Superintendent's Student Advisory Council (SSAC)

Superintendent's Student Advisory Council (SSAC)

This council is composed of student leaders from high schools in PPS, who will together advocate, plan, and create change at the district and school levels. Members are encouraged to speak out and talk about issues brought up in their school. Being a branch between students and administration. Learn about new plans formed by district staff, and provide feedback on how they could be changed. Meetings with the Superintendent and executive cabinet aren’t often, but when the opportunity is present student leaders are to be at the table each time.

Additionally, SSAC has done work around educating on other cultures and global issues, equity and race, working to improve virtual learning, and many other projects. Members are welcome to bring up ideas for new projects. The work is done by students and for students. We encourage you to apply and continue to be or become a new student leader!!!
