Pittsburgh Public Schools’ Future-Ready planning process is grounded in analysis, transparency, and Board oversight. Together, the documents below provide both the strategic direction and the operational roadmap for advancing the Future-Ready Plan vision.

Feasibility Report Update (Future Ready Plan)

The Feasibility Report Update is the Future Ready Plan. It outlines the District’s recommendations related to facilities, grade configuration, program alignment, and resource optimization.

It answers the question:

What is being recommended — and why?

Implementation Plan

At the request of the Board of Directors, the Implementation Plan provides additional detail about how the recommendations would be carried out. It includes timelines, operational planning, staffing considerations, transportation impacts, and financial analysis.

Based on further review, facility walkthroughs, and additional analysis, the Implementation Plan also reflects refinements to certain attendance zones and feeder patterns to ensure alignment, capacity balance, and program continuity.

It answers the question:

How would the recommendations be implemented — and where refinements are needed to ensure successful execution?
