Guidelines for Building Closure to Mitigate the Spread of COVID-19
As part of updates to the District's state-required Health and Safety plan approved at the Board's August 24th Legislative Meeting, schools will no longer close based on a percentage of positive cases of COVID-19 in the building during a 14-day period. A school will close and shift to virtual learning if one of the following is met:
- Recommendation from the Department of Health, the District's Physician, or the District's COVID Response Team.
- The District is unable to provide adequate staff to operate the building safely. Assistant Superintendents will work with school administration to determine if adequate staffing exists to continue using the building safely. The Superintendent will make the final determination.
