Technology Device Return
All district devices need to be reimaged before the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year. Schools are collecting student devices and hotspots this week from students who are NOT participating in District-led summer programming (ex. Summer Boost, CCS/Extended School Year (ESY) and Credit Recovery, etc.).
All seniors participating in commencement and receiving their diploma this weekend must return their device by Friday, June 11.
Please work with your students to back-up personal and work documents before turning in their device. Reimaging will delete all data on the devices. District devices not returned for reimaging and an update will not work for the 2021-2022 school year.
If you cannot drop off your child's device at school, please use a Technology Drop-off Center. Centers will be open on June 12, 13, 16, 17, 18 from 8:00 AM-2:00 PM at the following locations:
Pittsburgh Carrick High School
125 Parkfield Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15210
515 N. Highland Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15206
50 Montgomery Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15212
2940 Sheraden Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA 15204
Students participating in District-sponsored summer learning programs, such as Summer BOOST and Extended School Year, may keep their devices until the completion of the program. Students in grades K-11 with designated Assistive Technology (AT) device(s) and NOT attending a summer program can keep their device until the AT device exchange on August 3, 2021. The device exchange will occur at the Program for Students with Exceptionalities (PSE) office located at Oliver Citywide Academy (OCA) located at 2323 Brighton Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Families will be notified via robocall.
