Para2Sub Initiative
In an effort to address the substitute shortage across the district and encourage paraprofessionals to pursue a teaching career, Human Resources in partnership with the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers (PFT) has developed the Para2Sub initiative. Para2Sub creates an incentive for paraprofessionals who hold at least a bachelor's degree to serve as a day-to-day substitute in their own school building for additional pay.
