SUBSTITUTE SERVICES
-
Substitute Services is an element of the Talent Management Team within the Human Resources Department that provides support to both schools and substitute employees. The responsibilities of Substitute Services are shared between different Talent Management Team members who are also responsible for District-wide recruiting and staffing.
Substitute assignments are managed at the school level and via the automated Frontline Absence Management system. However, Substitute Services assists schools with acquiring substitute coverage for vacancies and absences of school-based professionals or paraprofessional employees when further support is required.
Substitute Services provides substitute employees with support throughout their employment experience with the District. Substitute employees can utilize substitute services for assistance with topics related but not limited to the following:

E-Learning, Training, & Building Substitute Model
The District has been working to finalize a substitute model designed to meet the needs of our students while prioritizing the health and safety of substitutes during E-Learning (100% online instruction).During E-Learning a building substitute model will be used to support schools. Schools will be assigned building substitutes at a rate of 10% of their total teaching staff (20 teachers = 2 building subs).
Please review the Building Substitute - E-Learning Model document carefully. This document outlines how the building substitute model will work as it includes protocols for accepting assignments to positions during this time.
