District Software Categories
The district maintains a portfolio of software to support all academic, operational, safety, and management services. This portfolio of software is nearly 200 different titles that the Office of Information and Technology maintain access, security and governance over. The district relies heavily on 2 nationwide standards body to help standardize access to applications and data - IMS Global Learning Consortium and Ed-Fi Alliance Data Standards. Changes, supports and governance of these applications happens in collaboration with Business Owners (the individual or department that requires the application) and the Technology Management Committee to help streamline expectations, deliverables, and most importantly the reliability and security of our district software.
To help the governance and understanding of all district software services, the district maintains applications in 3 primary categories. More information can be found in the procedural document OIT_20 Supported Software Applications.
