Pittsburgh Admissions Collaboration
Pittsburgh Admissions Collabortation (PAC), which started in 2018, provides a pathway to admission to the Community College of Allegheny County and the University of Pittsburgh. Along the way, they will also work to help students become Promise eligible. Students in 9th-12th grade at University Prep and Westinghouse are eligible to participate in PAC programming, with hopes to open the program up to all students within Pittsburgh Public Schools. PAC participants will spend one to two years at the Community College of Allegheny County and then, if all program requirements are met, will transfer to the University of Pittsburgh to finish their bahelor's degree. PAC provides support throughout every step of the college prep process ranging from: programming and reasources for academic success, financial literacy, college selction, and life skills, free social and cultural events, mentorship with current university students, money to cover textbooks for all four years of college, prority scholarship consideration, a Pitt ID that can be used for free public transportation, and admission to the University of Pittsburgh campus of your choice (if requirements are met).
