• Accountability Performance Dashboard

The Pennsylvania state assessment system is composed of numerous exams. The assessments included in this dashboard are the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA), the Pennsylvania Alternate System of Assessment (PASA), and the Keystone Exams.  State exams provide a snapshot of student performance and are not a holistic report of school progress.  In Fall 2018, the Pennsylvania Department of Education launched the Future Ready PA Index to share comprehensive information and data on students and school success.

The PSSA measures individual student performance in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics in Grades 3-8, and Science in Grades 4 and 8.   About 4% of District students are eligible for the alternate PASA exams which measure ELA and Math in Grades 3-8 and 11, and Science in Grades 4, 8 and 11.

Keystone Exams are end-of-course assessments that measure student learning in Algebra I, Literature, and Biology.  Although students may take the Keystone Exams at various times throughout their high school career, results for State and Federal accountability purposes are attributed to the school when the student reaches 11th Grade.

The Accountability Performance Dashboard provides data on the students who achieved proficient or advanced in tested subject areas on the PSSA/PASA and Keystone exams. To learn more, visit the Pennsylvania Department of Education site, here.
