• Out-of-School Time

    After-School Academy


    After-School Academy (ASA) is a 21st Century Community Learning Center program that occurs after school in three of our schools to complement the learning that is taking place during the school day. These programs, which support students living within the City of Pittsburgh, take place in the three buildings below.


    After-School Academy Locations:

    Helen S. Faison Arts Academy 
    Operating Monday-Friday and serving students grades 4-8

    Brashear High School
    Operating Monday-Thursday and serving students grades 9-12

    Perry Traditional Academy 
    Operating Monday-Thursday and serving students grades 9-12

    Each site provides academic support alongside exciting enrichment activities. Through our partnership with Allegheny Partners for Out-of-School Time (APOST) we provide a rich after school experience supported by the following enrichment providers: Drafting Dreams, Shutterbugs Photography, Home Children's Village: Comic Book Club, The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, The Andy Warhol Museum, Assemble, Venture Outdoors, Union Project, Common Threads, and Pittsburgh Flag Football League.
