Suspension Rates

  • How students are disciplined in schools has real impacts on how equitably students are treated, a school's culture, and access to instructional time. As such, PPS pays close attention to disciplinary trends. One such trend is the rate of out-of-school suspensions across time, schools, and student subgroups.

Suspension rate is defined as the number of students who have received one or more suspension divided by the number of students enrolled at any time during the school year. The dashboard below displays the Suspension Rate for the district, schools, and student subgroups. Drop-down filters at the top of the dashboard allow you to see the metrics for the group selected.
