Pittsburgh Online Academy's mission is to be one of America's premier schools, where we are student-focused, well managed and innovative. Our Teachers

Our highly-qualified teachers provide students with direct one-on-one support in their certified content area. Teachers also engage students during virtual office lessons. Students receive constructive and meaningful feedback that can be utilized to assist with content understanding. 

  
Career & Technology Education

Pittsburgh Online Academy (POA) students can participate in the Career and Technical (CTE) education program, selected a program that best matches their interests and career plan. Regular academics are completed through POA, while career and technical specifc classes are completed at the program's location within the district.

Our Program

Pittsburgh Online Academy students and parents participate in a comprehensive orientation that introduces families to our course ware systems, school policies and family expectations. We also provide students with state-of-the-art equipment to maximize their learning experience.

Enrichment Opportunities

Pittsburgh Online Academy (POA) students can select from a wide range of enrichment opportunites that occur regularly at our drop-in center and in local neighborhoods. 

Additionally, POA students are eligible to participate in district-sponsored clubs, organizations, and sports teams through their feeder pattern school.
