  • Assessment Name Time of Administration  Grade Levels Purpose
    PPS ORALS Spring (March) 8-12 This is a speaking proficiency assessment administered after a pre-determined number of instructional hours
    PPS ORALS Spring 5 This is a speaking proficiency assessment administered upon exiting elementary world language magnet programs.
    Multimode Test Fall, Spring 8, High School (Levels 1 and 2) This assessment measures listening and reading proficiency as related to content to determine growth from beginning to end of the year.
    Speaking Assessment Fall, Winter, Spring All grades These assessments are administered to track speaking proficiency growth throughout the year. They can be used as a measure for a teacher’s Student Learning Objective.
    Unit Assessments Every nine weeks High School (Levels 1,2,3) These speaking, reading, writing, and listening assessments determine a student’s content knowledge and proficiency at the end of each unit.
    AP & IB Exams Spring High School These exams are created by the College Board and are administered at the end of a year-long course to determine mastery of content knowledge.
