The CTE Engineering Technology  program introduces students to different types of engineering - including civil, mechanical, electrical and green.   In this program, they learn about  bioengineering, DNA experiments, fiber optics, bar codes, lasers and video technology. Students learn digital logic and gating functions and design and manufacture a printed circuit board to produce an operational digital timer. Students also study residential design, digital editing, and the operation of a 3D printer, CAD / CAM and CNC machining system to manufacture products. Program instruction includes, but is not limited to safety, ethics, power, problem solving, teamwork, engineering graphics, automated systems, fundamental electronics, manufacturing systems as well as adhering to the STEM initiative.  

    Rising 11th grade students may apply.

    Students who are successful in Engineering Technology have the opportunity to earn FREE college credits, as part of this program of study.
