The CTE Carpentry program will prepare students to apply technical knowledge and skills to lay out, fabricate, erect, install and repair structures and fixtures using hand and power tools. This program includes instruction in common systems of framing, construction materials, estimating, blueprint reading and finish carpentry techniques.
The Carpentry Program is offered at the following schools:
Pittsburgh Carrick High School
Pittsburgh Westinghouse High School
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (for the construction industry)
Students who are successful in the Carpentry program have the opportunity to earn FREE college credits, as part of this program of study.
