Summer College in High School Opportunity

Neighborhood Learning Alliance (NLA) is again offering no-cost credit bearing college classes for high school students this summer! Students can choose from classes at Carlow, CCAC, and Chatham. Current offerings include English 101, Biology, Microeconomics, and Quantitative Analysis. Students are part of a cohort, with tutoring and support provided to ensure success. Last summer, 124 of 131 students passed their college class and earned college credits. The classes run from June 15th through August 7th, and, through the Learn & Earn program, students are paid for their class time, tutoring sessions, and worksite placements AND receive weekly bus passes.

Please see the attached flyer for more information, and share this opportunity with any students who you think would benefit from taking a college class and spending their summer on a college campus. You can also reach out to NLA to request that a staff person come to your school to share more about this opportunity with your students and families.
